The 36" fan is recommended for a home that has between 2000 and 3500 square feet. It requires a minimum of nine square feet of total attic ventilation to work efficiently, quietly and for a long lifespan. Prior to fan installation a typical home has about two square feet, so additional venting is usually required.  Each vent supplied by CHC adds one square foot of ventilation.  Assuming your home has the average number of vents and requires a standard installation, you would need the 36" fan and seven additional vents installed.

Each home has a unique architecture and the amount of attic ventilation in each home varies. There are many different scenarios and combinations available to effectively cool your home.  Due to additional labor involved, there may be extra charges for things such as installations in plaster, extra high or sloped ceilings, putting vents in steep roofs or exotic roofing materials.
