CHC uses the highest quality shutters on the market that stay solid and quiet while the fan is operating. Cheaper shutters purchased in local hardware stores will rattle during the operation of the fan. The louvers on this shutter are open because the fan is running, but we are able to orient the shutter in the installation so that the white, finished looking louvers are the only things visible from this viewing angle.
